Man Addicted to Cola Has 35 Bladder Stones Removed After Drinking 3 Litres Daily

In a shocking medical case that has stunned doctors and sparked public health concerns, a man addicted to Cola had 35 stones surgically removed from his bladder after reportedly consuming three litres of the sugary soft drink every single day.

The unnamed patient, believed to be in his late 40s, was rushed to a hospital after experiencing severe abdominal pain, frequent urination, and traces of blood in his urine. Upon conducting scans and tests, doctors were alarmed to find dozens of bladder stones — hard mineral deposits that can develop when urine becomes too concentrated.

According to the attending urologist, the excessive intake of sugary, carbonated beverages — particularly cola — had significantly contributed to the buildup of minerals in the patient’s urinary system.

> “This is one of the most extreme cases we’ve seen,” the doctor said. “His bladder was nearly filled with stones, some as large as marbles. The underlying cause was clearly his long-term overconsumption of cola, which affected not only his kidneys but also created the perfect environment for stone formation.”

Bladder stones, though less common than kidney stones, can cause excruciating pain and lead to long-term complications if not treated. Experts warn that high levels of phosphoric acid, caffeine, and sugar — all found in cola drinks — can dehydrate the body and alter urine composition, paving the way for stone formation.

The patient admitted he had been addicted to Cola for over a decade, often skipping water altogether and relying solely on the drink for hydration.

> “I knew it wasn’t healthy, but I never imagined it could lead to this,” the man told local media after surgery. “It started with one bottle a day and eventually became three litres. I just couldn’t stop.”

Doctors performed a successful endoscopic surgery to remove the 35 stones. The patient is now recovering and has been placed on a strict no-soda diet along with regular hydration and nutritional counselling.

Health professionals are using this case to highlight the dangers of excessive sugary drink consumption, urging the public to be mindful of daily intake and to prioritize water as the primary source of hydration.

> “Soft drinks may taste good, but over time, they can seriously damage your organs. Moderation is key — or better yet, avoid them altogether,” the attending doctor advised.

This incident serves as a stark reminder that addiction to sugary beverages is not just a dietary concern but a potential medical emergency waiting to happen.
